This book is just precious!! My second grade students absolutely loved it during our animal families unit. The story itself is so sweet and very informative/imaginative. The additional animal resources at the back are FANTASTIC!!!! I love integrating reading and the arts with science, and this book provided both opportunities seamlessly. This book is precious and my daughter and I love reading it together. Since I sew it really made an impact... we never thought of what we could create for animals if they needed new coats! I bought this book to use in a class for Kindergarten students in a zoo summer program on classification by skin coverings. This is a whimsical book that served the purpose beautifully.
The book is super cute and was exactly what I needed. It arrived a day late, which put my class a day behind on a 10 day lesson and came with the cover ripped.
